Pastor Sam mentioned the Coffee Table he built. A project he made that he knows intimately, flaws and all. What is something you’ve made that you feel a sense of creator’s pride or intimacy toward?
Re-read Psalm 139. What thoughts and questions come to mind as you read?
Read v12. How does knowing that God is physically present with you in your darkest moments (shame, illness, or secret sin) change how you engage those moments?
Read v13-16. David uses the word "knit" or "woven" to describe God’s work in the womb. How does that imagery change the way you view your physical flaws or the things you’d like to change about your body?
How can we, as a church family, better support people who struggle with the "brokenness" of the body (disability, chronic illness, aging, dysphoria, or body image issues)?
What is one practical way you can "honor God with your body" this week? (e.g., getting better sleep, being more present with your family, or stopping a habit of negative self-talk)
